THE KINABUKASAN STORY

If the heart of KINABUKASAN is volunteerism, what keeps this heart pumping are Faith and Prayer. Seldom would you encounter a youth organization fueled by the power of prayer which translates this power to faith in action.

KINABUKASAN is Christ-centered and by being so, it does not matter how small or how large membership is at any given time, because it is faith that keeps the organization doing what it does – selfless service to fellowmen patterned after the service Christ exemplified.

Shouting their battle cry Serviam! which means “I will serve!”, members are always energized to do just that. No selfish interest mars the organization’s drive to seek proactive ways to reach out and interact with the depressed, deprived and under-servicedcommunities of Bulacan.

By its nature, KINABUKASAN is volunteer-run. However this does not post any challenge detrimental to the quality of projects and activities the organization launches. Ready hands are always eager to help plan, prepare, execute and evaluate community projects. As volunteers are well endowed with the capacity to help, KINABUKASAN in itself is a pool of talent and resource in so many fields of expertise like business, information technology, law, medicine, engineering, and others.

The organization is proud of its roster of volunteers. As a matter of policy, recruitment is driven by a “quality over quantity” philosophy. Members are fastidiously selected based on the criteria of volition, capacity and identity. But we often surprised to find out that almost all of our members are either enrolled in the premiere universities, colleges and schools in the country, or employed in companies that maximize their talents and help them be productive God-fearing citizens.

KINABUKASAN sees to it that all these potential and talent are used for the good of the community. The organization puts it upon itself to ensure that personal, social and spiritual development of the members are way up the list of its priorities through properly planned formation activities.

KINABUKASAN also boasts of a professionally managed organization. Registered and incorporated as a non-stock, non-profit corporation with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on 24 June 2005, the organization is well assured of a system of checks and balances and an internal control mechanism put up to secure the group from potential conflicts of interest and malfeasance.
